EFI – Enterprise Financial Intelligence – Overview

The EFI (Enterprise Financial Intelligence) suite was designed to specifically address the issues and challenges that the global management (board of directors, CEO, and CFO) faces on a daily basis. These challenges can be:

  • Multiple internal and external systems that lack update and synchronization abilities (even within ERP systems)
  • Late planning control that does not take into account all business events, financing and changes in market trends
  • Absence of comprehensive tools with which to perform simulations while modifying internal and external factors
  • New strict regulatory requirements: SOX ACT for the U.S. and IFRS and Basel 2 & Basel 3 for Europe
To address these important challenges, the EFI suite provides management with:

  • Full forecasted financial statements in real time
  • Risk and exposure management
  • Automatic alerts and recommendations in real time
  • Automatic web information retrieval
  • EFI system information sources are comprised of all the events that occur in the organization´s IT system (such as new orders), and all the extra-organizational external events (such as changing market variables like currency exchange and interest rates) and information about competitors, all of which affect the organization´s rolling forecast.

With EFI, the CEO and CFO can easily overcome planning, budgeting &and forecasting bottlenecks, and achieve a real-time  competitive business advantage over competitors.

Most of the financial support systems, such as G/L, ERP, Treasury, CRM, HR, and even mega vendors´ CPM solutions were traditionally built to address just a specific functional area, and lack the important capability of letting the decision makers see the complete financial picture. In today´s increasingly volatile financial environment, having a complete forward-looking image of their business and having the ability to see changes in real-time, becomes an acute need. And that´s exactly what the EFI suite does.

The EFI system knows how to automatically extract all the pertinent data from all of the supporting systems, and based on the CFO and the financial team´s strategic plans and market assumptions, and make accurate and comprehensive rolling forecasts for any timeline and for any number of business scenarios. These real-time calculations are carried out and consolidated across the entire corporate dimension, such as products lines, projects and group entities, etc. .
